Target Audience
The intended audience for this activity is comprehensive ophthalmologists.
Learning Objectives: Oculoplastics and Aesthetics Session (Saturday)
Upon completion of this activity, attendees will have better knowledge of the following subject matters:
- Summarize the latest knowledge about eyelid pathology, as well as advances in the surgical and reconstructive repair of lesions and malpositions.
- Assess new information about the management of thyroid eye disease.
- Evaluate surgical and non-surgical approaches that restore functioning and aesthetics to the eyelid(s).
- Outline the appropriate use of neuromodulators and fillers, including strategies that can minimize complications.
- Assess the role of non-surgical aesthetic enhancements in everyday clinical practice.
Learning Objectives: Medical Retina and Uveitis Session (Saturday)
Upon completion of this activity, attendees will have better knowledge of the following subject matters:
- Describe new and emerging treatments for the management of geographic atrophy.
- Assess new and emerging therapies for the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration.
- Examine current management options for diabetic macular edema and diabetic retinopathy.
- Assess strategies that improve the differential diagnosis and management of uveitis
- Summarize the latest management options for pediatric retinal disorders.
- Summarize the latest management options for RVO.
Learning Objectives: General Sessions (Sunday to Friday)
Upon completion of this activity, attendees will have better knowledge of the following subject matters:
- Examine functional and aesthetic oculoplastic procedures to enhance everyday ophthalmic care.
- Summarize the latest management strategies for retinal disorders and uveitis.
- Describe the latest approaches to IOL selection and replacement surgery.
- Review IOL options for eyes with astigmatism, irregular corneas, and other complex features.
- Explore strategies to manage complex cataract cases and surgical complications.
- Identify strategies to improve patient satisfaction after cataract and refractive surgery.
- Examine medical and surgical strategies to improve outcomes in patients with glaucoma.
- Explore medical and surgical management of corneal and external diseases.
- Evaluate current approaches and recent advances to common and rare corneal conditions, including medical and surgical strategies.
- Assess the latest diagnostics and surgical advances in refractive cataract and corneal procedures.
- Identify and manage common neuro-ophthalmologic presentations.
- Examine the latest updates in practice management and clinical operations that serve to improve patient care.
- Evaluate practical techniques and clinical pearls from clinical cases in various ophthalmic conditions.
