Present your case from the podium!

The Program Committee invites residents and fellows to submit interesting, challenging or educational clinical cases for consideration in our Case Conference for comprehensive ophthalmology. Selected presenters will share their case live from the podium in front of a national audience of leading ophthalmologists. Selected presenters will be honored with the Sunshine Eye Outstanding Clinical Case Award.

Eligibility

Open to current comprehensive ophthalmology residents and fellows. Submitter must be the presenting physician and available to present in person at the meeting if selected.

Important Guidelines

Please prepare your case as a PowerPoint presentation, no longer than 6 minutes. Complete the submission form below, then upload your case. Your presentation should include:

• Title and Disclosure Slide
• Case summary - history, exam findings and diagnostic workup
• Clinical images and/or diagnostic imaging, as applicable
• Diagnosis and management/outcome
• Key teaching points (2–3 takeaways for the audience)

Because this is a CME-accredited meeting, all presenters are required to disclose any commercial relationships relevant to the presentation content, both in the submission and at the time of presentation.

Selection Process

All submissions will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Cases will be evaluated on clinical relevance, educational value and quality of presentation materials. Selected presenters will be notified two weeks after the submission deadline and will be scheduled for a live case presentation during the meeting.

Case topic areas can include:

• Cataract Surgery
• Corneal Disease & Transplantation
• Refractive Surgery & Complications
• Ocular Surface Disease/Dry Eye/Infectious Keratitis
• Glaucoma
• Ocular Trauma
• Postoperative Complications (IOL issues, endophthalmitis, TASS, etc)
• Other (please specify)

Can I submit a case that was presented from another meeting?
Yes, previously presented cases will be considered for selection.

Do I need to register for the meeting?
Yes, all physicians must register for the meeting. Please register online.
