The intended audience for this activity is retina specialists and other health care professionals involved in the management of patients with retinal disease.
Learning Objectives: General Sessions
Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Evaluate the latest advances in diabetic eye disease, including current and emerging medical therapies, surgical considerations, and related clinical trials.
- Explore general ocular updates, including anterior segment and glaucoma, that are relevant to retina specialists.
- Evaluate current evidence and real-world practices related to the diagnosis and management of systemic and vascular retinal diseases.
- Explore issues in managing dry age-related macular degeneration and geographic atrophy including current and emerging therapies, slowing the progression of disease, and how to talk to patients.
- Examine current and emerging trends in nAMD, including home OCT, real-world data, and new therapeutic targets.
- Describe practical strategies that can simplify business processes and improve patient outcomes in retina practice.
- Assess advances in vitreoretinal surgery.
- Describe the use of various imaging modalities in the evaluation, diagnosis, and monitoring of specific retinal conditions.
- Examine case presentations specific to the surgical and medical management of retinal diseases.
- Describe advances in uveitis, ocular oncology, and pediatric retinal diseases.
- Explore how tools like big data and AI can improve retina practice.
