Target Audience
The intended audience for this activity is retina specialists and other healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients with retinal diseases and disorders.
Program Summary
Retina World Congress is a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting international professionals to foster dialogue and to generate consensus about retinal diseases, emerging technologies and treatments, best practices and clinical research. The belief is that we can foster more collaboration between national and regional retinal societies, providing a single focal point of information exchange for the global retina community. Our annual meeting offers attendees an extraordinary program created by and for retina specialists from around the globe and successfully brings together 1,000 physicians, healthcare providers and industry participants from the U.S., 50+ countries and 50+ retina societies.
Learning Objectives: General Sessions
Upon completion of this activity, attendees will have better knowledge of the following subject matters:
- Identify new imaging and artificial intelligence modalities that can improve retinal disease detection and better assess patient responses to therapy.
- Explore diagnostic, monitoring and treatment related practices that can improve the overall management of infectious, non-infectious, and drug-induced uveitis.
- Examine challenging medical and surgical case presentations in patients with retinal diseases and their appropriate management.
- Determine best practices for the recognition and management of patients with MacTel.
- Interpret clinical findings from abstract presentations relevant to the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases and disorders.
- Identify new advances in retina surgical strategies, technology, and instrumentation.
- Describe innovative approaches that can optimize secondary IOL implantation.
- Assess case presentations pertaining to the surgical management of pediatric patients with inherited and non-inherited retinal diseases and disorders.
- Explore the use of gene and cell therapy in the management of inherited, as well as non-inherited retinal diseases.
- Describe the latest clinical trial data, patient outcomes, and emerging medical treatments for patients with retinal disorders.
- Recognize current challenges or controversies in the treatment of retinal disorders.
- Analyze new developments in ocular oncology, along with their appropriate diagnosis and management.
- Review late breaking evidence and clinical trial results pertinent to the management of retinal diseases and disorders.
